Kandi Burruss, star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, recently took to social media to share her joy and pride over her daughter Riley Burruss’s latest accomplishment.

The reality TV personality posted a beautiful senior photo of Riley, celebrating her graduation from Woodward Academy in metropolitan Atlanta. In her Instagram post, Kandi wrote, “Today was the day my baby Riley Burruss was supposed to get her diploma. Unfortunately, because of the quarantine, her graduation has been postponed, but I still want to congratulate my baby and let her know I am so proud of her.

This is the start of a new chapter and so many more major accomplishments to come. Congratulations Riley and the class of 2020!”

Riley, whose father is Brock Entertainment co-founder Russell Spencer, has always been a focused and driven student. Her hard work paid off when she was accepted into her top-choice school, New York University (NYU).

Riley herself shared the exciting news with her followers a few months ago, expressing her happiness and sense of accomplishment. “I got into my number one school,” she posted. “I’m so proud to share with you all that I will be moving forward in New York at New York University. It was the only school I really even wanted to go to.

I only thought of applying to other schools as backup plans. That was the only school in my mind, so just to see that I got in and it’s for sure and I can just go and be on my path, I’m very excited.”

The pandemic has forced schools nationwide to adopt virtual classes and postpone graduation ceremonies, but Kandi and her family made sure to celebrate Riley’s achievement during Mother’s Day weekend.
